Introduction to Light DESA1004 设计 assignment 代写
Assignment 1
Assignments DESA1004
Assignment 1 (40%): Evaluation of the Visual Environment. This assignment requires you to
demonstrate an understanding of, and ability to apply, the material from the first three
modules. You will analyse the interactions between surfaces and light.
Imagine that you are the curator for an exhibition for a famous photographer, John Smith.
John Smith specialises in photographing light and surfaces. He is particularly interested in
taking photos of light being reflected, transmitted, absorbed, refracted or dispersed.
To fund the exhibition you have contacted Black Stump Publishers, who are the world
leaders in the publication of photometry textbooks. You are hoping to convince the
publishers of the scientific value of John’s images, so that they will purchase some of his
photos to include in an upcoming textbook.
After careful consideration, you decide the best way to do this would be:
Select one of his photographs (from the download link below)

Write a critical analysis of how light interacts with surfaces within John’s
photograph.
For your discussion you decide to:
Select three of the interactions that are evident in John’s photograph (reflection,
transmission, absorption, refraction and/or dispersion).
Use knowledge acquired from unit modules and your own individual research to
support your analysis.
Keep your discussion to 750 words (word limit does not include referencing).
You might also consider including a photograph taken by a different photographer
and discussing any similarities (or differences) in the two photos related to the
interaction of light and surfaces.
You are tying desperately to impress the publishing company, so you ensure you use
a scholarly referencing format. The publishing company prefers APA.
