This assignment is due by 4pm on Friday the 21st of October, and should be submitted to the

assignment box on the rst 

oor of the Arndt building. The total marks for the assignment

is 100. Solutions must be typeset using a LATEX distribution. If you need help with LATEX

please come along to help desk and we can guide you though it. I have also included the

.tex le for this assignment on Wattle.

All claims made must be substantiated by working. Some questions may explicitly ask

for this, some may not. In either case your answer must be such that a person who was

sceptical of your claim would be convinced by your argument. You may use any claims we

have proved in lectures or tutorials unless instructed otherwise.
