Requirements
In this assignment, you must produce a brief literature review related to the following topic:
As in all areas of information technology. Data Base Management Systems (DBMSs) are constantly
changing and improving. Research how businesses are using DBMSs, and write a report of your
findings. Address the following issues:
1. Which popular DBMS products are based on the relational data model?
2. Which DBMS products are based on a logical model other than the relational data model?
3. What are the relative strengths and weaknesses of the different types (relational versus other
logical models) of DBMSs?
Your submission should cite at least five references. All references should be academic (journal
and conference papers or edited book chapters) and as contemporaneous as possible (no more
than 7 years old).
What you need to submit
You are required to submit a single document of around 2500 to 3000 words in Microsoft
Word format (.doc or .docx).
